Your qualities

You are a motivated, organised, analytical people person, technically minded with an eye for detail.  You have experience of working in a fast paced office environment, working with everyone from the MD to the temps.

You love to problem solve, seeing issues as a puzzle to work out.  You have a desire to expand your knowledge and learn new skills, whilst still being upbeat about plugging in workstations and fixing the printer.   You have the ability to spot trends in the monitoring reports and the ability to know where to look to suggest improvments

Working alone isn't a problem for you,  you are self motivated, confident and disciplined.  However working in a team is something that you embrace, offering suggestions and taking actions, or even taking the lead where appropriate.

Your responsiblities

  •  Helpdesk / 1st & 2nd line support, with a view to ultimately providing 3rd line support
  • Troubleshooting and resolving user issues
  • Software and hardware installation and maintenance
  • Maintaining the office infrastructure
  • Monitoring and maintaining server, firewall and information security performance

Your skills and experience

  • demonstrable experience of working in front line IT support within an SME – supporting users, managing suppliers, working with servers, hardware and software
  • Knowledge and experience of working within ISO27001 information security standards
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must have the desire to develop further skills, which will require some self-learning
