About the role

In this role you will define, create, and improve experiences for customers through a deep understanding of their needs. Based within our Experience team, you will work closely with Strategists, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Designers, and Developers as part of wider sprint teams that create value through digital products.

The role covers a wide range of UX and content activities, including:

• Identifying customer groups and needs
• Auditing existing digital solutions for customer experience and performance of content
• Mapping journeys through an experience to meet customer and business goals
• Creating wireframe sketches or prototypes to gain feedback from stakeholders and customers
• Supporting the wider team in the design and development process of digital products
• Managing the setup of any personalisation or experience testing (e.g. A/B tests) across digital experience platforms
• Conducting user testing / interviews to gain insights
• Translating insights from user testing or analytics data into practical ways to improve digital experiences

You would also be expected to support the team in winning new business through providing relevant UX content for proposals or pitches.

 

About you

The nature of the role means that you will be comfortable participating in – and ideally running – workshops with colleagues and clients, and able to easily talk to stakeholders to get ‘under the skin’ of problems and identify potential customer experience solutions through the activities listed above.

In addition:

• You will already have one to two years’ experience working in a digital environment, probably in a core UX role
• You will be a self-starter, capable of organising your time and able to manage multiple tasks
• You should be confident working with spreadsheet software to support analysis (e.g. Excel) and be comfortable with typical productivity tools (e.g. Office suite)
• Desirable but not essential are experience or familiarity with any of the following:
  • Google Analytics and Hotjar to support insights and decision-making
  • Wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Axure, Visio or Sketch
  • Digital Experience Platforms such as Optimizely, Sitecore, Umbraco, CRM platforms
  • Content writing
